Abstract

The Exil Centre-medico-psycho-social center-proposes to support the «Well-treating» of families in exile. In this framework, the staff of the programme for children and their families aims at supporting the resources by these families mobilize to remain « well-treating» and to permit their children to grow up and develop themselves. «Well- treating» is the result of the mobilisation of the community's resources and the parental competences in view to answer to child's need, taking also into consideration the resilience resources of all the persons taking part in the process. Our work consists in : treating the individual consequences of the traumatism on medical, psychological and social levels; reconstructing the binds at family, social and community levels, sustaining the families in their adaptation process in Belgium. This work takes place in various spaces: consultations, talking and self-help groups, creative workshop and residential activities. © Médecine et Hygiène.
