Abstract

The Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) regards migrants as an important target group in nationwide health education programmes because they make up a large part of the population in Germany. The elements of the health education strategy are described and illustrated by examples of sex education and family planning. This includes concept development, migrant related mass communication, addressing target groups with special needs by personal communication, and cooperation with partners from migration work. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2015.
