Abstract

In 2013, five German ministries published a joint concept paper on Germany's global health policy. The paper outlines Germany's contributions towards more equitable global health. Significant gaps still remain, e.g., a clarification of the role of pharmaceutical industries and a strategy on how the involved ministries will cooperate. Global health starts at home. Germany needs to work out a binding strategy for EU members to avoid more deaths of refugees trying to reach Europe. © 2015 by De Gruyter.
