Abstract
Migrants are at a higher risk for occupational accidents, occupational diseases, short-term disability and early retirement than employees of the majority population. This is particularly the case for individuals of Turkish origin. Measures of prevention and health promotion that are sensitive to the needs of migrants need to be implemented in companies and the health care system to improve occupational health and to address consequences resulting from a higher work-related burden in this population group. ©2015 by De Gruyter.
