Abstract

Compared to the majority population, migrants altogether have worse health-related opportunities. In response to this, various programmes and measures were initiated. However, the strengthening of health literacy among migrants themselves was neglected in this context. The MiMi programme was developed by the Ethno-Medical Center as an effective technology for integration and social inclusion. Through the provision of health knowledge, it enables migrants to take responsibility for their health and obtain access to existing health care services in a more sustainable way. ©2015 by De Gruyter.
