Abstract

Women's health research has significantly contributed to establishing a more gender-sensitive research and health care practice. In the field of migration and health, knowledge gain and science-practice transfer seems more complicated and slow. The category "migrant background" is not suitable to unlock the heterogeneity of migrants and ethnic minorities nor the complex interaction of health-relevant migration factors, racism and socio-economic aspects in the interplay with gender and ethnicity. ©2015 by De Gruyter.
