Abstract

Health literacy focuses on the ability to obtain and deal with health-related information. Initial studies suggest that immigrants are significantly lower in their health literacy than the comparison population in the target country. In Germany, however, an empirical consideration of vulnerable subpopulations or risk-increasing constellations is still pending, as well as the consideration of consequences and effective interventions. ©2015 by De Gruyter.
