The aim ofthis article is to stress a frequently occurring phenomenon, that ofold âge immigrants. Our désire has been to show that the difficulties ofthis group ofpersons are not taken into account, as is well shown in the numerous reports which have dealt with thisproblem since many years now. We have also tried to explain why they don't go back to their places of origin, although, here in France, they only live in small homes, where living together doesn't necessarily mean living in harmony. © De Boeck Universite.
