Abstract
Every year, about 4 millions inhabitants die because of smoking; in 2025, 10 millions people will die, and about 70% of the victims will come from the emerging countries. In a context of globalized migration, the counseling for the migrants smokers needs to take into account the migration process and the acculturation phenomenon. If this was not done, migration could become an essential risk for smoking.
