Abstract

The 'migrant' is a category not only excluded from celebratory concepts such as transnationalism and cosmopolitanism, but also increasingly spoken of as a victim. Laura Agustin exposes prejudices in what is meant by the term and proposes another vision, in which less advantaged people are granted ordinary human autonomy.
