Abstract
Objectives: To investigate differences in migrant patients with custodial addiction treatment orders in Germany (section 64 of the German Criminal Code). Method: Forensic psychiatric patients with a background of migration in the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg were assigned to subgroups according to their national origin and compared with data from the population survey. Results: The subgroups differed with regard to their relative risk to receive an addiction treatment order, with regard to their diagnoses and their offences. Conclusion: Looking at the forensic psychiatric facilities of Baden-Württemberg, late repatriates from the former Soviet Union and migrants with North African and Turkish origin are overrepresented. © Psychiatrie-Verlag GmbH.
