Abstract
Children of migrant families present a higher risk of educational failure and an earlier abandonment of the educational system. Researches have focused on analyzing the factors that influence on the educational failure of these youngsters, but there are few studies about how they are being produced which can be understood as successful education careers. The aim of this article is to contribute to the previous knowledge about these processes, addressing, based on qualitative methodology, the relationship between the origin, sociability, inter-ethnic relationships, discrimination and rejection perceptions and how they are related to their educational career considerations. The study focuses on a concrete context, the agro-industrial areas of the region of Murcia. Work and social conditions of this type of locations infer on educational and working careers of these youngsters. © 2018 Asociacion Granadina de Antropologia. All rights reserved.
