Abstract
This article presents findings from a systematic literature review of studies that focus on the repatriation of rejected asylum seekers from Kosova. We approached the literature from a critical standpoint in order to identify the main gaps in knowledge as well as to recommend future steps. The findings question the adoption of repatriation as a sustainable solution to migration “crisis” and suggest that there is a dearth of repatriation research coming out of Global South countries. Study findings add to the body of existing, albeit scarce, literature that focuses on repatriation, and provide important implications for policymaking for a largely hidden population of forced migrants. © Common Ground, Kaltrina Kusari, Christine A.
