Abstract

The present work is inserted in the research line that deals with the relationship between exiles and repression trough the history of women and with a gender perspective, we analyze the Argentine expatriation of the last civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983) towards the Iberian Peninsula. We un-derstand exile as a direct consequence of both militancy in left organizations and estate terrorism. In this sense we face the triple violent dimension of forced emigration, taking into account: the roles of violence in the context of departure and in revolutionary militancy, gender differences in state repression and its consequences in departure, as well as the everyday violence in the receiving country. Trough qualitative source fundamentally we enter the history and the memory of those women who went trough the transforming experience of the exile during their adolescence and youth. © 2019 Asociacion Historiadores del Presente.
