Abstract

The number of ageing migrants is growing in France because many do not come back in their countries of origin, especially among the North-African people. The men living alone have been a long time the main object of research. Nowadays those ageing in their family and the old women living alone are also studied. The life conditions, the trajectories and the gender are the main cause of the difference observed among ageing migrants. This article analyses three main characters of ageing migrants. © Presses Universitaires de France.
