Abstract
In the second Davidic Psalter Ps 51-72, the Davidic titles are inspired from the Books of Samuel by some verbal correspondences. They propose to the psalmist, the identification to David persecuted by Saul and other enemies. In the first Davidic Psalter Ps 3-41, the Davidic titles permit an identification of David with the poor of the return of the exile that have to suffer from the violence of the oppressors. But in the first Davidic psalter we have finally a reaffirmation of the Messiah, identified to the poor. This reaffirmation refers to the ark of the covenant, with Yahweh who stands up to defend his people. On this theme we have reference to Ps 68:2 and finally to Num 10:35. This lecture of the psalms, by the Davidic titles, with reaffirmation of the Messiah identified to the poor of the return from the exile, is developed in the Ps 18 that looks to Ps 68. © 2018 Walter de Gruyter GmbH.
