Abstract

Within the conflicted feminist discourses, the framing of sex work differs. Moreover, the positions are disparate and the perception of what the problems regarding sex work are varies. The proposals for solutions and change correspond to the definition and framing of the so-called problem. Thereby, dichotomies become apparent and are to be critically considered. Based on an approach taken by a migrant women’s* self-organisation, which focuses the debate on sex workers’ rights, and where the struggle is considered to be embedded in social relations, the (re)productions of dichotomies and representations in sex work discourses will be highlighted and challenged on different levels. © 2016, Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden.
