Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the psychoanalytic clinic of exile concerning refugees in the specific context of resettlement. We aim to develop, through excerpts from a clinical case, metapsychological keys that allow us to better understand the unconscious dynamics figuring in the elaboration process of violence in the refuge – mainly of the violence found in the melancholization of the exile experience. © 2009 Associação Universitária de Pesquisa em Psicopatologia Fundamental/University Association for Research in Fundamental Psychopathology.
