Abstract

An increasing number of senior migrants is suffering from diabetes mellitus type 2. Prevention and therapy require both, attention to cultural aspects as well as successful communication. In order to ensure communication, to establish a good doctor-patient relationship and to guarantee patient safety only suitable interpreters should be engaged.
