Abstract

The objective of this recommendation is to support managers, employees and residents of reception and accommodation centers for asylum seekers, late repatriates and refugees for handling laundry that is suspected of being infected or is infectious. Until now, there are no regulations or handling instructions available regarding this field. On the one hand this recommendation should serve the purpose that employees and residents of reception facilities and accomodation centers handle laundry without an increased infection risk. On the other hand this recommendation should assure the provision of clean laundry without human pathogens for the residents of reception facilities and accomodation centers.
