Abstract
One of the two goals of this study is to consider the different strategies recommended in French language teaching and learning for adult migrants, in the institutional framework programs of France, Switzerland and Quebec. The second goal of this study is to examine their implementation. Various aspects are tackled: the development of didactic material, the training of language teaching instructors, processes of language skills evaluation during training and legal procedures relating to immigration and nationality.
