Stages of exile [Les temps de l'exil] (Article)

Abstract

In this article the author describes three stages in the experience of an exiled person: that of nostalgia, which is also revolt; that of the discovery of the trans-exile as a place of culture; and that of desolation. These reflections are backed by thirty years of clinical experience in a health establishment dedicated to migrants and political refugees.
