Features and correction of personality disorders at far stage of psychogenic traumas encountered among refugees and forced migrant women (Article)

Abstract

The research on features and correction of personality disorders at far stage of psychogenic traumas among refugees and forced migrant women (25-55 years of age) as a result of Karabagh military conflict is studied in this article. It was observed 142 women, at 47 women from them the following types of personality disorder were revealed: hysterical - 16 persons, excited - 14 persons, emotionally unstable - 11 persons and 6 persons with organic types of personality change were noted. It were determined 3 groups of disorders among these women by EEG examination as well: 17 persons had signs of paroxysmal activity increase, 15 persons had liquor hypertension, 11 persons had organic changes and 4 persons show a record equal to conditional norm. Medication, individual and group psychotherapy was applied to these women taking into account the types of personality changes and disorders registered on EEG record. Repeated medical examination was carried out after medication and psychotherapy. It was revealed that the types of personality disorders have been corrected considerably and EEG disorders have been improved noticeably. The carried out research showed that administration of treatment and correction works for these women at far stage of psychogenic traumas was important for their health.
