Psychological growth of immigrant children [La crescita psicologica dei bambini stranieri] (Article)

Abstract

Growing among two different cultures can be an opportunity for immigrant children, even if, depending on their social background, difficulties can occur. There are different situations depending essentially on children's origin: whether they are born in Italy, if they have come with their parents or sometime after, or if their parents are undocumented immigrants. In order to take advantage of this cultural enrichment coming from living within two different culture, each situation is evaluated, so as the best way to promote immigrant children's psychological well being.
