Abstract
Through a cosmopolitan reading of the international migrations, this article focuses on how the ICTs generate new ways of "living together" and acting from afar during the digital era. A study of how transnational families and networks of Romanian professionals in Toronto use the Internet serves to analyze, through the lens of a transnational habitus formation, ICT-based transformations of social ties, socialization processes and identities. In particular, this paper explores the mechanisms through which the migrants evolve a transnational everyday life continuum based on an ubiquity regime of communications at a distance.
