Abstract

Salvador, his missing country, is always inscribed concavely in Roberto Armijo's work. If the poem - satirical and denouncing - might be a political weapon, it also enables to recreate an ideal native land, based on natural beauty, harmony and a love, either exalted and supporting or full of tenderness and nostalgia. The care dedicated to the form: use of the sonnet, choice of a «pointillist» writing, places his texts in the tradition of the great American lyric poets whom he claims as his models: Rubén Dario, César Vallejo...
