Abstract

The distribution of arterial hypertension (AH) in a population of the refugees and enforced settlers among 865 men at age of 20-59 years living in the Sumgait was studied. All observed men were divided into 4 age-groups: 1st group included men at age 20-29 years, 2nd group - 30-39 years, 3rd group - 40-49 years, 4th group - 50-59 years. The arterial hypertension was observed at 34, 79% of investigated men. The frequency of occurrence of AH was unequal in miscellaneous age-grades. The highest level was marked in IV age-grade - 47, 84%, lowest in I age-group - 5, 31%. It is necessary to mark that AH was detected for the first time at 41, 53% from all inspected. Thus we can conclude about grave epidemiological condition in Sumgait, and this fact have to induce improvement of preventive measures in cardiology.
