Abstract
In this article derived from his recent research, John Zamet relates an account of a hitherto undocumented story - the experiences of dentists fleeing the Nazi regime in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. Specifically he describes the administrative actions by the British authorities at the time and the subsequent effects that these procedures had on the lives of the practitioners and their families. © British Dental Journal 2006.
