Abstract

This article is concerned specifically about the therapy of humans with migration background. Especially cultural influencing factors in trauma-centric psychotherapy are considered. Migration is a remarkable life event causing people to suffer. This suffering of the migrant person may turn whether into a dream or a trauma. The type and the intensity of the symptoms caused by the trauma are affected by the cultural background of the person. There are some important facts pointing out some culture-specific aspects in trauma-centric psychotherapy of humans with migration background.
