Abstract

In recent years Spain has witnessed an increase in the high flow of immigrants from less developped countries, which has created a series of problems in the sanitary attention of the country. This increase in immigration has brought a dramatic increase in children, be it via their parents itself or trought international adoptions. The aim of this article of bibliographical review is to present the problems caused by immigration with regards to the control of immunopreventive diseases of our country, by offering a series of operational measures and strategies of child selection for the vaccination of both immigrant and adopted child. All this is done in an aim to pursue a level of protection equal to the rest of the population, and also to avoid other illness in these children, avoid epidemic outbreak, and contribute to the eradication of potential illness in Spain.
