Abstract

This paper was originally written for presentation at the 15th International Congress on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, New Delhi, India, October 2002. The conference theme focused on the mental health of immigrant children. A travel advisory issued by the U.S. Department of State resulted in cancellation of American participation, as political unrest erupted in the Asian subcontinent and war threatened in the Middle East. © 2005 The Analytic Press, Inc.
