Abstract

The OIM(2010) esteems that two hundred and fourteen million people lives outside their country of origin. The causes of the transfers are diverse and are related to disadvantageous economic, social and political situations, those that have affected their quality of life in the origin countries. On the other hand, to get up themselves to a new place and to obtain the property usually is a traumatic experience, that affects it in the one of reception. Among other things because they need to handle another language and, through him, the cultural codes to interact and to get up themselves labor to subsist. In this sense it is important to analyze the existing relation between the recall of past experiences and the subjective quality of life, assuming that the memory (individual and collective) has an important role in the construction of the identity and the reconstruction of the communitarian property. Our theoretical approach to the concept of quality of life is the one offered by the Research Center in Environment (CIMA), Spain (1979) and is taken in the study like sensitizing (Masseroni, 2007) as much for the search as for the analysis of the information, the same one considers that the quality of life is constituted from the conditions that, in general, a society offers, allowing its members to feel more or less satisfied and to be made according to shared ideological values. Knowing the existing bond between memory and the narrative of personal experiences, a corpus of information from opened interviews was constructed, that allows us to explore in the quality of subjective life of a set of migrants, arrived at Argentina in the decade of 1990from Central and Eastern Europe.
