Abstract

Through an analysis of interviews and observations with three teachers working with refugee students in a Midwestern public high school, this paper identifies the institutional obstacles that teachers face when working with refugee students and the underlying cultural scripts that drive both their discourse about refugees and their actions towards refugees. © 2010 National Association for Multicultural Education.
