Abstract

This Amendment provides that all persons in Canada after 21 May 1986 who are or may become the subjects of reports under the Immigration Act or who have been arrested for inquiry are eligible to engage or continue in employment in Canada. It enables refugee claimants to support themselves and their families while awaiting decisions with respect to their claims.
