Mental health attitudes and practices of soviet Jewish immigrants (Article)

Abstract

This article describes some of the difficulties Soviet Jewish immigrants face and the results of a survey of immigrant attitudes toward western mental health resources. The author identifies doctors and medical facilities as primary mental health resources and explores implications for social work service delivery in ambulatory care settings. Comparisons with other populations also are made. © National Association of Social Workers, Inc.
