Abstract
To assess the state of knowledge of the mental health of Mexican immigrant women and to provide a bibliographic tool for interested researchers, relevant documents were identified and compiled from the Spanish Speaking Mental Health Research Center's Hispanic Health and Mental Health Data Base (HHMHDB). A total of 96 documents dealing with Hispanic immigrant women were screened for possible inclusion in this annotated bibliography, of which 36 met the requirements for selection and were incorporated into this article. The first section of this bibliography contains a brief methodological description about its development, followed by the actual listing of annotated documents. The selected materials are presented in alphabetical order by author's last name, providing full title of the document, source, index terms, and an abstract of each citation. The last part of this bibliography provides an analysis of the trends of the research literature on mental health of Mexican immigrant women. In the last section gaps in knowledge are identified and recommendations for future research in the field are made. © 1987, Spanish Speaking Mental Health Research Center. All rights reserved.
