Abstract
Given the large numbers of people who are fleeing their homeland, many social workers will encounter refugees—from all parts of the world—who are seeking assistance. A need for a sound understanding of the trauma suffered by these people is evident The author describes a crisis-intervention approach for dealing with Cambodian refugees, with consideration of their unique cultural characteristics. © 1987 by the National Association of Social Workers, Inc.
