Abstract

Assesses estimates of the number of Asian labor migrants and their characteristics, and highlights the major economic and non-economic consequences of these flows. The final sections review the relevant policies and programmes instituted by the labor-exporting countries and the future prospects for Asian labor migration to the Middle East.-from Authors
