Abstract

The media for migrants in West Germany is poor in quantity and quality. The considerable demand for Turkish and other migrant broadcasting, newspaper and cultural activities is evidenced by the video boom for imported material. German officials, assuming assimilationist objectives, have however been unwilling to support the strengthening of migrants' media. -W.T.S.Gould
