Abstract

Increasing amounts of information have been gathered on the fortunes of children of migrant workers who have travelled to their parents' reception countries. This note examines those who have remained at home: notably in the countries of North Africa and southern Europe. Data on family structure and other indices are rare and often unreliable. This section of the total population requires further study so that adequate social provision may be made. - H.Clout
