Abstract
Transformation is one of the main aspects that, since the mythological opening of the Maipure-Arawak world, have been describing the Northwestern Amazonia. Today, changes are run by processes of globalization that have been plunging the Amazon into a reality marked by corruption and violence. This paper will focus on the case of the community of Mavacal, created by indigenous families emigrated from their troubled past with the FARC or by internal violence in their communities of origin. It will also analyze the dismantling of a narco guerrilla camp and its impact on the life of the community.
