Abstract
In the first part of the contribution, the author defines the current refugee crisis as being an essentially discursive phenomenon, i.e., as a process completely determined by a single discursive mutation - the one considering the relation between the refugee and the migrant. In the second part, all the key political positions, which have been established in the last few years, are formulated on this basis: the radical right (“all refugees, without exception, are migrants”), the centre right (“some refugees are actually migrants”), the centre left (“some migrants are actually refugees”) and the so called modern centre, which proposes a peculiar synthesis of all three theses. © 2018 Society for Theoretical Psychoanalysis.
