Abstract

In Argentina there is limited research on indigenous peoples' migrating processes and their settlement in urban centers. Our research focuses on the Qom, an indigenous group from the Province of Chaco that has been migrating to the city of Rosario, Province of Santa Fe. This paper analyzes the features of their dwellings and neighborhood environments through a methodological approach that combines both quantitative and qualitative tools. We show that the precarious habitat causes serious health damage especially to children and youngsters.
