Abstract
From a case-study, we address the study of regional and contemporary migration processes in urban contexts. Considering an ethnographic register created between 2010 and 2014 in a neighborhood located in Gran Rosario (Santa Fe, Argentina) which has a high percentage of Paraguayan migrants we discuss the construction of social positionings from the point of view of spatial dimension. To do so, we disaggregated the immigration context considering migrants' trajectories, the register of conflictive interactions among neighbors and interviews with institutional actors. This was done with the purpose of showing classificatory operations and contrasts that conform, in an interrelated way, the neighborhood space and the positionings mentioned. © Población & Sociedad - Grupo Editor Yocavil.
