Abstract

The objective of this article is to know the attitudes toward immigrants in the city of El Ejido (Spain) almost ten years after one of the most violent conflicts against the immigrants from Maghreb in Europe. The survey's results showed that the attitude toward immigrants is negative, feeling that it is certain mainly for the perception they are competition as well as a threat in the individual (wages, employments or resources of wellbeing) as collective spheres (national identity).
