Abstract
The migration of Mexican citizens to the United States has changed notably since the decade of 1990. In order to create an instrument that evaluates the presence of stress in the migratory process was designed the Occurrence and Intensity of the Migratory Stress Scale, shaped by three subscales: To prepare itself (himself, herself to go out, to travel and arrival to the target place. 605 questionnaires were applied to Mexicans, males, major of 18 years that were for crossing the border towards The US or that had been repatriated to Mexico. A specific analysis of the scale was done in each of his 24 items. The reliability of every subscale and of the total scale had given an Alpha coefficient higher than 0.9. In the validity had been obtained congruent factors with the used theory, and that explain a variance higher than 75% in every subscale and in the total scale.
