Abstract

This article presents the results of a qualitative research on the migrants from Solis Valley (Temascalcingo, State of Mexico, Mexico), a region distant from the international migration tradition. Diverse stages of masculine migration and the incorporation of women into the migratory flows are approached; by means of the observation of three generations of migrants, we analyze important social changes in everyday life of three communities in Solis Valley to understand the migratory logic from the local motivations that demand a social change in the face of global processes of mobility.
