Abstract

Germany is an immigration society. An adequate health care, which includes language and speech therapy, presupposes the consideration of the cultural and lingual diversity of the German population and the implementation of multilingualism and cross-culturality in the education and qualification of speech and language therapists. It is indispensable to establish the necessary knowledge base and to produce equal opportunities for all clients. All actors involved are asked to make their contribution.
