Abstract

This article contains data on characteristics of indicators of the quality of life of elderly migrants with arterial hypertension within the period of readaptation to new climatic conditions in the Far North. Among migrants of the Far North and residents of Krasnoyarsk, a moderate decline in the quality of life was revealed. Among all of the factors reducing the quality of life of those examined, the most important is the necessity receive treatment and take drugs for chronic diseases. At the same time, a reduction in daily activity and dietary restrictions had a significant influence on the quality of life of the migrants of the Far North, while Krasnoyarsk residents showed the same as a result of the reduction of income at retirement and reduced physical activity. When the terms of residence are increased upon arrival in the southern regions of Central Siberia, the percentage of examined people with a normal quality of life indicators reduces, and the number of people with a significant reduction in the quality of life increases. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
