Abstract

Nurse practitioners can be a powerful frontline force by collectively raising awareness of human trafficking (HT) through education; advocating for policy change at the local/state/federal level, providing primary prevention for contributory risk factors; and building a strong HT prevention program with the Social-Ecological Model. Together, NPs can lead through practice, education, advocacy, and research to promote optimal health outcomes and to end human trafficking. 2018 American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
